In Cuyahoga Falls, there has been a project underway to save the banks of Kelsey Creek. The restoration of the creek will bring a myriad of ecological benefits as well as great opportunities for education and other community programs. A big part of the creek’s renewal is the planting of trees along its banks, which will be happening with the aid of dedicated volunteers. This Saturday, as many as fifty volunteers will plant seventy-seven trees to create a new forest along this important body of water. Check out this article from Ohio.com for more information on just how this work will have a major impact on the project, the creek and the surrounding community.
